Please tell us a little about yourself.
I'm just a girl who loves being creative! My husband and son are used to my ideas and will often jump in to help.
Why did you decide to start a blog? What do you enjoy about blogging?
I started way back in 2007 as a hobby. I was working full time in the fitness industry, but my hobbies were craft related and decorating. I was looking for a one stop shop type of website that could direct me to all the amazing creative blogs out there. There didn't seem to be one, so I started one. I have since rebranded and now share my own creative content. Recipes, Crafts, Holiday entertaining, Decorating and Printables. I LOVE the friendships and opportunities that blogging has brought my way. Who knew you could make blogging your career?
How would you describe your design style?
My design style is a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I don't follow the "I'll have what she's having" rule of thought or design rules. If I love it, I'll find a way.
Where do you find most of your inspiration?
I find inspiration in all the usual places. Pinterest, Magazines and Shopping! I live near the Columbia Gorge and if I'm ever stuck, I can just soak in the beauty around me to recharge my creative battery.
Tell us about a recent project you’re proud of.
I love so many projects! But I think my most favorite right now is the room I created for La-Z-Y Boy. It was a very challenging time and was the outlet that kept me calm. The morning I was set to fly out to the La-Z-Y Boy headquarters, my mother had lost her battle with cancer. She had been doing really well up until a few days before I was scheduled to go. She made me promise to go... no matter what. My mother is where I got my love of decorating from, so I headed to North Carolina and decorated my heart out.
